Ces textes et ces photographies, évidence du désir, de la rencontre entre l'amour et l'aventure, s'inscrivent dans un parcours initiatique à la poursuite du rêve tropical. D'abord à Rio de Janeiro, à Sao Paulo jusqu'à son but ultime, San Salvador de Bahia. Contemporary artist Gustavo Urruty builds his story from page to page, accompanied by his only tools: a pencil, a notebook and his inseparable camera from the 1930s, the Leica 3. These texts and photographs, evidence of desire, of the encounter between love and adventure, are part of an initiatory journey in pursuit of the tropical dream. First in Rio de Janeiro, then in Sao Paulo and finally in San Salvador de Bahia. The intensity and maturity of his work are the fruit of his confrontation with the reality of the country and his experience of love.
