DAMI est un voyage intime, poétique et sensoriel imaginé par SMITH, artiste plasticien et chercheur dont l’œuvre explore les liens entre visible et invisible, humain et non-humain, matière et esprit. Réalisé dans le cadre de la résidence Instants au initiée par Leica et Château Palmer ce projet puise dans l’histoire familiale de l’artiste et dans une quête élargie autour de nos origines, croyances et liens au vivant. L’une des coïncidences fondatrices du projet est la découverte que ses grands-parents se sont rencontrés, à différentes époques, dans les deux lieux ayant accueilli la création de Dami : Le Fresnoy et Château Palmer.. . DAMI is an intimate, poetic, and sensory journey conceived by SMITH, a visual artist and researcher whose work explores the connections between the visible and the invisible, the human and the non-human, matter and spirit. Created as part of the “Instants au” residency initiated by Leica and Château Palmer, this project draws on the artist’s family history and a broader exploration of our origins, beliefs, and connections to the living world. One of the defining coincidences of the project is the discovery that his grandparents met—at different times—at the two locations that hosted the creation of Dami: Le Fresnoy and Château Palmer.. .
