Ce premier dossier Artphilein présente les couvertures des livres de la bibliothèque Artphilein qui traitent des paysages miniers, des méthodes d'extraction, des mines en service et désaffectées, de l'exploitation industrielle et artisanale, des conditions de travail, des machines, du traitement et de la transformation des matières premières, ainsi que de l'impact environnemental et social.Les livres, classés par ordre alphabétique, sont accompagnés d'informations typologiques et de textes des commissaires Joerg Bader et Diego Stephani, qui partagent leurs impressions et considérations sur ce sous-ensemble spécifique et très particulier de la bibliothèque d'Artphilein.La sélection est une invitation à réfléchir sur les ressources naturelles, telles que les roches, les minéraux et le charbon, que l'on trouve sur tous les continents et qui sont exploitées depuis l'Antiquité.Publié à l'occasion de l'exposition à Artphilein Library & Atelier La Piscina, Lugano-Paradiso, 9 avril - 2 Juillet 2022.This first Artphilein Dossier presents the covers of the books from the Artphilein Library that deal with mining landscapes, extraction methods, mines both in service and disused, industrial and artisanal exploitation, working conditions, machinery, processing and the transformation of raw materials, as well as environmental and social impact.The books, in alphabetical by title, are accompanied with typological info and texts by the curators Joerg Bader and Diego Stephani, sharing their impressions and considerations on this specific and very particular subset of the Artphilein Library.The selection is an invitation to reflect on the natural resources, such as rocks, minerals and coal, to be found on every continent and exploited since ancient times.Published on the occasion of the exhibition at Artphilein Library & Atelier La Piscina, Lugano-Paradiso, April 9 - July 2, 2022.
