Le livre

Ce projet est né d'une volonté commune avec le lithographe Roger Emmenegger de proposer un livre «oeuvre d'art» mêlant cahiers de recherche et surfaces d'exploration. En s'appuyant sur l'expérimentation des technologies d'impression, la sensualité de la matière s'invite sur les pages du livre, exprimant la poésie du langage des arts imprimés. Une douzaine de papiers différents ont été utilisés dans cet ouvrage. . Par la peinture, la photographie et le texte, c'est un parcours vers une version onirique du vivant qui apparaît page après page. L'ouvrage devient alors une sorte d'atlas, un itinéraire imaginé dans un monde organique fragile en transformation. Ce travail donne à voir la mutation de «La Nature» et souligne l'importance de la matière vivante, à un niveau structurel. À l'instar du processus de valorisation qui le sous-tend, il propose une approche de l'objet «livre» permettant de relier le réel à l'imaginaire, l'informationnel à l'émotionnel.. Poetry of the Earth nous invite à reconsidérer notre rapport à notre environnement immédiat et nous offre la vision d'une nature transfigurée pour susciter en nous un imaginaire vecteur de sens; condition nécessaire à toute action.. This project arose from a shared desire with lithographer Roger Emmenegger to create a book that would be a "work of art", combining research notebooks and surfaces for exploration. Drawing on experimentation with printing technologies, the sensuality of the material invites itself onto the pages of the book, expressing the poetry of the language of the printed arts. A dozen different papers have been used in this book. . Through painting, photography and text, a journey towards a dreamlike version of life appears page after page.
